Ingredients Pork Spare Ribs – 2 lbs (1/2” thick slices) Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple – 1 cup Star Anise – 2 Clove – 10 Bay Leaf – 1 Salt – 2 tsp Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
BBQ Sauce Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple – 1 cup Crushed Pineapple – 1/2 cup Ketchup – 2 cups Ginger Powder – 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika Powder – 1/2 tsp Cayenne Powder – 1/4 tsp Salt – 1 tsp Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp Chive – 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
Method 1. Wash your spare ribs, drain off excess liquid and set aside. 2. Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. 3. Once heated, add 1 cup of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple. 4. Burn off the alcohol for 1 minute before adding your star anise, clove, bay leaf, salt & black pepper. 5. Whisk to fully incorporate all your ingredients. 6. Pour marinade directly over your spare ribs. 7. Let marinate in your refrigerator overnight (12 hours). 8. For your BBQ Sauce, heat a small saucepan over medium heat. 9. Once heated, add 1 cup of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple. 10. Burn off the alcohol for 1 minute before adding your pineapple, ketchup, ginger, paprika, cayenne, salt & black pepper. 11. Whisk until all your ingredients are fully incorporated. 12. Switch off the heat before adding your chive. 13. Set aside. 14. Set your grill, stovetop griddle or electric grill to high. 15. Grill on both sides for 3 to 5 minutes before brushing on a layer of BBQ Sauce. 16. Place on a baking sheet, top with more sauce & cover with foil. 17. Bake @ 375F for 40 minutes, uncovering halfway through. 18. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before eating. 19. Enjoy!
