Beef Pasanday Recipe | Beef Steak | Old Delhi's Famous Pasanday

Aaj hum aapke liye laaye hain ek lajawab aur shahi recipe – Beef Pasanday.
Ye ek traditional Mughlai dish hai jo beef pasandon (thin sliced beef pieces) se banai jati hai aur rich onion-tomato gravy me cook hoti hai.

Is recipe mein humne 1 kg beef pasande liye hain jinko masalon aur dahi ke sath marinate karke, slow cooking method se ekdum lazeez aur soft banaya hai.

📌 Ingredients
For Marination

1 kg beef pasande (thin slices)

1 cup dahi (curd)

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp roasted cumin powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

2 tbsp oil or ghee

Salt – as per taste

For Gravy

3 medium onions (finely sliced)

2 medium tomatoes (chopped / puree)

2–3 green chilies (slit)

1 cinnamon stick

2–3 cardamoms

3–4 cloves

1 bay leaf

½ cup beaten curd (optional for richness)

2 tbsp fresh cream (optional)

Cooking oil / ghee

Garnish

Fresh coriander leaves

Ginger juliennes

📌 Cooking Method (Step by Step)

1. Marinate Beef – Beef pasande ko dahi, adrak lehsun paste, lemon juice, aur masalon ke sath ache se coat karke kam se kam 2–3 ghante ke liye marinate kar dein.

2. Fry Onions – Ek pan me oil garam karke onions golden brown kar lein. Half onions ko garnish ke liye alag kar dein aur baki gravy me use karenge.

3. Cook Gravy Base – Ab whole spices (dalchini, elaichi, laung, tej patta) daal kar fry karein. Isme tomatoes aur masale dal kar roast kar lein.

4. Add Pasande – Ab marinated beef pasande gravy me daal kar high flame par 4–5 minute bhun lein.

5. Slow Cook – Thoda pani add karke lid cover karein aur pasande ko dum par 35–40 min tak pakne dein jab tak beef soft na ho jaye.

6. Finish – Garnish ke liye fried onions, hara dhaniya aur adrak juliennes daal dein.
