Sate (indonesian for satay) combined with peanut sauce is INDONESIAN NOT THAI. Anything else is grilled meat on skewer as any culture has its own version. We don't cook pad thai and call it pad indo.
Yummy
Yum good food from all over the world
Nice recipe! Don't forget the kefir lime leaves! Adds flavour that takes it from great to great and authentic tasting! 😀
Looking good, too bad it is very very very very difficult to hear what's been said…
Is it traditionally dip in peanut sauce??
disappointed in these. good but not a knockout.
Please do a Thai cucumber salad recipe to go with that.

Use a microplane to grate the lemongrass , frozen works perfect
What? Only one " round the outside"?
Oh man, we made this last night and it was possibly the best beef satay I've ever had, and I eat it out every chance I get and I've had it in Asia also. Served it with cauliflower cut into florets, dredged in flour, pan fried in butter. Oh wow, it was fantastic. Thank you Chef John. I was gonna put a picture here but I guess one can't…..
I'm marinate that for tomorrow. Thanks you chef
When he says “around the outside” only once 🙁
What do you think about a tahini version of peanut sauce?
I'm not sure which is more annoying: the "around the…edge" psych, or the fact that Chef John thinks the W in "skewer" is silent. Skeer?
I know I'm commenting on a 7 year old video, but dude you made my day with the Troy McClure reference!! One of my favorite Simpson bits
Good food video uploading, thanks for sharing to us such amazing taste .
Coriander(cilantro) stems work alright for a lemongrass substitute
This looks terrific Chef , but there are a few things I will have to go shop for,,, but it seems totally worth it ! TY !!! 😁🖒✌
You had me at garlic; I kinda spaced out and forgot everything else…I'll have to watch this again! LOL (ahhhh…garlic, that substance of which one cannot have "too much" of!)
skoors?
I tried this and found it way, way, way too salty. The salt in the soy sauce (and fish sauce?) overpowered almost everything else. Ill try again and cut back on those two things!
man that looks so tasty i really gonna try this out ty for the tip
