Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Beef Round
1-2 Potatoes
3 Carrots
3 Celery Stalks
1 Onion
1 Garlic Clove
3-4 Cups Chicken Broth (or Bone Broth)
Olive Oil
2-3 Bay Leaves
1-2 tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
1-2 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tsp. Tomato Paste
1 Tsp. Better than Bouillon (Beef)
Salt
Black Pepper
Prep:
Cut beef into 2 inch cubes.
Cut the onions, carrots potatoes and celery into 1-2 inch pieces.
Mince the clove of garlic.
Heat your pot on medium-high, add some olive oil and sear the beef. No need to cook it all the way through as it will continue to cook in the stew. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
Next, add about a tablespoon of olive oil to the pot and add the vegetables, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle in 1-2 Tbsp. of flour, and a teaspoon of tomato paste.
Continue to cook until the vegetables are coated with flour and white flour disappears, this will take about 10 minutes of stirring.
Add your beef back into the pot with vegetables and add Worcestershire, bay leaves and beef bouillon. Stir until incorporated.
Then pour in the broth until everything is fully submerged in the liquid. Stir and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat to low-medium, cover and cook for 1.5-3 hours until the meat is fully cooked and root vegetables are fork tender. The sauce will thicken at this stage.
Tip: For a thicker sauce add a corn starch slurry (1 tbsp. corn start to 1 tbsp. warm water)
Make sure to toast yourself up some bread for dipping into this delicious stew. If you skip this step you’ll wish you hadn’t! You’ve been warned!

Looks delish. You have a nice demeanor in your presentation.
Hi — do you need to cover the pot when cooking? can I put lid down? or do I need a glass lid like you used. Thank you
This looks great! I am just getting to know my Foodi.. I had a look at your playlist and after saving half a dozen I caved and subscribed. Hopefully I don't gain too much weight trying all these out haha. p.s, I saw another recipe before this one and she pressure cooked it for 25min, and then added gravy mix and seared to thicken at the end, instead of coating with flour at the start. I have a feeling slow cooking would incorporate more flavor, but when in a rush I may try the other option too! Thanks for the vid ๐คค
Dude I did the accent. I was raised in Jersey and people think it's funny when I say "ga'head" instead of go ahead ๐คฃ๐. Woke up today thinking of cooking me up some beef stew in my foodi and your video was the first one that popped up and I'm sticking to your recipe. Good, easy and efficient content ๐๐ผ
I only have a low and high temperature option for slow cook on my Ninja Foodi. Do you know how long would it take to make this beef stew on low?
Why the chicken broth with beef?
Delicious thank you!
Hi Joe, I love beef stew and yours looks harty and delicious.
Hi, Joe!
I missed this one last Friday, but, now that I viewed it I'll follow your recipe. I was looking for a recipe using the pressure cooker but, a few hours is okay. ๐ I can always make it a goulash if I make a mistake. ๐
Oh wow it looks so delicious & yummy love your video!
it looks yummy Joe … I make mine almost the same as yours but I do like mine a little thicker.
