To Make Bellam Gavvalu

Maida – 2 Cups
Sooji / Rava – 1/4 Cup
Salt – 1/2 Tsp
Powdered Sugar – 2 Tsp
Cardamom Powder – 1 Tsp
Jaggery – 1/2 Cup
Ghee
Water

Method

Take a large mixing bowl and add two cups of maida.
Add quarter cup of fine sooji rava, half tsp of salt, two tsp of powdered sugar, and one tsp of cardamom powder. Combine well.
Add three tsp of melted ghee and mix thoroughly.
Gradually add water and knead the dough.
Apply some ghee and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into small balls.
Just place a ball on the gnocchi maker and press it gently to get the shape
Heat oil in a kadai for deep-frying.
Once the oil is hot, add the shells gently, and fry on medium flame until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the shells and let them cool completely
In a pan, add half cup of grated jiggery and water.
Once the jaggery dissolves, add one tsp of ghee and stir well.
Add the fried shells to the syrup and mix gently.
Bellam Gavvalu is ready to serve!
