  1. You are the queen of Southern cooking and know how to cook chicken fried steak better than anyone!
    Thank you!
We grew up on chicken fried steak – but we only “Drizzled” our gravy when we had company!
Otherwise, as Irma Bombeck said, in our house gravy was a beverage!

  2. Love your recipes and videos, thanks! Here's a suggestion my Aunt Rubynell taught me. If you are like me and you like your chicken fried steak (or fried chicken) breading to be crispy, I suggest you drain the fried steaks on a raised rack rather than on paper towels in a plate. This rack draining method will maintain the crispness of the breading on both sides, where the paper towel in a plate method results in the bottom paper towel side of the steak becoming soggy with oil. To answer your pinned question, I like fresh green beans, or fried okra, and milk gravy covered mashed potatoes with my chicken fried steak. Thanks again for a great channel!

  3. I don’t think cube steak is the same as it used to be. The last time I tried it, it was so tough. Maybe it still needed to be tenderized for a few hours or something! I haven’t bought any since. But it sure does look good. Mmm hmmm.

  4. Meat dipped in buttermilk and flour makes the best crust, especially chicken. MMMMM, that looks so good. I love cube steak fried just like that, some pretty cube steak and love that crust, the best part. Thank you for sharing.

  5. About two weeks ago, before going to celebrate a late Christmas with friends, I made these for the family so I was still kinda here for Sunday dinner 😋 I got so many messages from home saying there were no complaints about the meal I left them 😁
