Cut out the brown sugar and cinnamon completely and instead, add crumbled cooked sausage, keeping the apple juice and vanilla component in the pan. Seems like that would be a better tasting breakfast than a sugared apple.
The recipe link in the description is a completely different recipe! 🤷♀️ For BAKED apples! It uses more apples (7 total- 6 whole, 1 chopped), adds butter, cranberries, nuts, oats, orange zest and maple syrup, has no vanilla, and suggests ice cream topping instead of yogurt. It's literally the dessert version! The instructions are different, too. You keep the apple caps to cover the apples, start on the stovetop, and don't have to baste during baking.
See the change in ingredients below:
• 7 large (about 6 oz each) Granny Smith apples • 6 tbps unsalted butter, softened • ¼ cup packed brown sugar • ⅓ cup dried cranberries, coarsely chopped • ⅓ cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted • 3 tbps old-fashioned rolled oats • 1 tsp finely grated zest from 1 orange • ½ tsp ground cinnamon • pinch table salt • ⅓ cup maple syrup • ⅓ cup plus 2 tablespoons apple cider
Frankly this sounds better. You can reduce the sugar and syrup to suit your tastes, add a little nutmeg and maybe clove, still top it with yogurt, and it'd be tastier AND a tiny bit healthier. 👀
Or save itself some cavities and 40 minutes and just eat the apple straight up. Apple is my absolute favourite whole food and IMO all that extra stuff is kinda overkill. Just be grateful you’re lucky enough to eat an Apple.
I don't think that's what people mean when they say "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"… More like "Doctor will come check your diabetes right now".
Wow, nice creation, 👏 but too much sugar, could use honey as molasses. Brie cheese or honey 🍯 gram crackers. Just a suggestion. Thank you for posting. 😎 👍
I mean you stole it…
This bring back child hood
My mom loved making these to eat.
Ooh! Will try, thanks

This looks great. I love apples. I think I can make these for my vegan family members too with the ingredients. ❤😊
Then making that for over 50 years minus the cream❤
This sounds like a breakfast only for special occasions.
This is dessert not breakfast.
Looks delicious!
One of my favorite treats my grandmother made in the winter. Although, minus the cream. Still have fond memories of them.

They look almost as delicious as her smile. Erica, you should do voice acting. You sound like a cup of warm milk.
55 minutes of baking time is not breakfast.

Ah yes, the american breakfast, sugar and more sugar.
This looks hella good but that is hellllaaa sugar haha 100 percent would eat though.
Thank you!
Would it mess everything up to peel the whole apple? Thx
Wouldn’t be an American breakfast without a metric fuckton of sugar
I microwave my apples for about five to eight minutes, and they're delicious.
not only a lot of sugar but a cooking time of 55 minutes with constant basting? Not breakfast, for sure
That looks delicious!
Diabetic comatose bombs….
Its like this channel only knows butter and sugar..
This is a terrible breakfast. You need more protein!

Damn. If this is breakfast, I fear to peek at lunch
These people always make such unhealthy food.

Looks good 👍
