  1. The recipe link in the description is a completely different recipe! 🤷‍♀️ For BAKED apples! It uses more apples (7 total- 6 whole, 1 chopped), adds butter, cranberries, nuts, oats, orange zest and maple syrup, has no vanilla, and suggests ice cream topping instead of yogurt. It's literally the dessert version! The instructions are different, too. You keep the apple caps to cover the apples, start on the stovetop, and don't have to baste during baking.

See the change in ingredients below:

    • 7 large (about 6 oz each) Granny Smith apples
    • 6 tbps unsalted butter, softened
    • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
    • ⅓ cup dried cranberries, coarsely chopped
    • ⅓ cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
    • 3 tbps old-fashioned rolled oats
    • 1 tsp finely grated zest from 1 orange
    • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
    • pinch table salt
    • ⅓ cup maple syrup
    • ⅓ cup plus 2 tablespoons apple cider

Frankly this sounds better. You can reduce the sugar and syrup to suit your tastes, add a little nutmeg and maybe clove, still top it with yogurt, and it'd be tastier AND a tiny bit healthier. 👀
