.. it's some good brisket. Went in the morning and asked for brisket by the pound.
I think I was expecting too much when I went to Buc-cee’s. I got the brisket sandwich. I cannot stand the taste of liquid smoke so that really ruined it for me.

Next time, try the sausage kolache with a side of gravy. Biscuits and gravy on the go! So darn good.
With you. Thought the Buc-ee's brisket wsa legit, but I much preferred the sliced flat to the chopped point. The chopped is over sauced and I'm not a fan of their sauce. Otherwise, I like it.
To Buc-ee's newbs – bring a chair, there is NO seating inside, so you will be hanging out in your vehicle if you want to sit.
Sounds like they need to hire a pit master.

"Fat Matts" is good but they're more fast and hot style. Good sauce.
"Fox Bros" is the best.
The prices for a small Pulled pork sandwich was 8 dollars the other day in FW at Bucees.. and it was not that good. 8 dollars for the sandwich only!!!!!

Is it the absolute best brisket you'll ever have? No. Is it really good for a "gas station" brisket, Yep! I'd buy one again for sure

Spoiler – their brisket is not good, their kolaches are not good, their jerky is not good, and all of it is over priced. If maybe you have never had great brisket, or great kolaches, or great jerky, you may like it. But, unfortunately, this is what tourists are told is "Texas BBQ" and it is far far from it.
Get your gas. Grab a snack. Take a poop in the best restrooms you will ever find and that is what Buc-ee's is good for.
They have some badass Philly cheesesteak burritos too

If you’re coming up 35, stop in West just north of Waco and get a Kolache there.
Their Bohemian Garlic jerky is amazing!! Every road trip I stop and get a couple pounds for the road.
