1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp seasoning powder (eg. Knorr – this is optional)
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup water (or coconut water)
1 tbsp fish sauce

i tried this recipe many times before and it has worked well. For some reason the last few times I made it, the meat was bitter. Do you know why it has become bitter?

Hi, I cooked the spare ribs according to your video. The taste was good but the meat was tough even after I simmered it for extra 30 minutes. Is the meat supposed to be tough? If not, what could be wrong?
