  1. Ingredients:

    1 chicken breast, thinly sliced

    1/2 pound broccoli

    1/2 carrot, cut diagonally

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tbsp oyster sauce (or soy sauce)

    potato or corn starch

    vegetable oil sesame oil (optional)

    Slice chicken really thin and season with salt and pepper in a bowl, add 1/8 cup of water. Add 1 tsp cornstarch. Add little bit of oil to mixture to make it tender. Let this sit for 10 minutes.

    Slurry: 1 tablespoon oyster sauce and tsp cornstarch and ¼ cup water and set aside.

    Heat wok to high heat. Then add oil. Stir fry chicken until no pink color and take it out and set aside.

    Add water in bottom of wok to steam broccoli and carrots when water is boiling add broccoli and carrots with salt and garlic, cover and cook 1 ½ minutes. Now add chicken back and turn the heat to medium and add slurry and optional you can drizzle sesame oil.

  4. this dish is very similar to one that my best friend in China used to love. Hers was cauliflower, instead of broccoli, and it had pork…. but besides that, it was the same. 😊
