I'm making this stew because Red dead Redemption 😅
Cowboy Kent and Sam the Cooking guy… Do you need anyone else?
I can;t wait to give this recipe a try|! You've got this Englishman cooking like a cowboy.
Thanks Kent. Love this one.
This looks so delicious can't wait untill I can make it. I love eating a good stew.😊😊😊😊
I wonder if calling young people "button" hadd anything to do with young bucks who just had buttons for antlers being called "button bucks."
Scariest thing to the Cowboys on the trail was stampedes. When they failed to turn the running herd, they would sometimes resort to shooting the lead stamped steer. After everything calmed down, they all remarked on how good that steer was. I feel the same way about my fence jumpers. 😂
Thank you for the mention of my hometown of Abilene, KS!
Hi Ken i wish you showed us some of these recipes with Your dutch oven over a Tri pod. It would be Awesome.
Back in the day they ate Salt Pork or Jerky
I am making me some of this my good sir!!
great cooking keep it up
Nothing better than beef stew.
Any of yall watch Hateful Eight?
That stew in that movie looked amazing.
And reminds me of this recipe.
I've started to put a huge knob of butter into my stew which enriches it and lifts the flavour.
What if I only have one pot? (Dutch oven)
I dont see the reason for bay leaves. I can not taste any difference between recipes with or without
OH in case your wondering about my title, Capt. Toadbelly?
I had a friend who was Native American in N.W. OHIO who was a official member of the Illinois/ Indiana POTAWATOMI TRIBE. He asked me if He could give me a trible name? I said,"YES," excited as to it maybe being, Running Wildman or something cool… lol
He named me, TOAD BELLY… He was very serious. And because I fit that description at that time. I was honored by him and it.. 😊 AND STILL PROUD…
He and his wife were real good, religious people…
I'm a Master Captain under the U.S. Coast Guards Merchant Marines and still under the oath I was given by the Coast Guard and the Army both. My son is working on his 21st year in the actual Coast Guard. My Grandson around 8 years…
I am so PROUD OF them… tx God Bless
Kent, as a man I would say, You are a very lucky man to have such a wonderful wife."
I was raised by a father who loved the outdoors, wildlife, and cooking. We / I live 13 miles from very CLEAN lake Erie famous as the WALLEYE capital of the world also BIG Trout, Salmon, Yellow Perch BIG CORN FED WHITETAILS, COTTONTAILS, FOX SQUIRRELS, which made it very important to know how to cook..
I trapped and hunted from the age of 14 and all through my high school years. I am 72 years young now. I and have learned a lot of respect of nature too. Some the hard way. While stationed at Ft. Sill Oklahoma My native American friend and I would often visit Mount Scott Park and the Bison 🦬 were very used to people and most would hang out or walk through the picnic area etc. While hunting snakes 🐍 I noticed a monster bull drinking from a ditch at the bottom of a steep hill. I told my friend I was going to try and hand feed it some grass. .😮 As I eased to within 20 feet of this Gigantic Bull, I looked back up at my friend. As I did he screamed, "RUN", "RUN" 🏃♂️ I saw with my side vision him charge me. I took off up the hill waiting to be punished for being SO STUPID… I SLIPPED FELL AND BUSTED MY KNEE CAP OPEN BUT GOT UP FAST AND KEPT RUNNING. LATER AT THE HOSPITAL MY FRIEND SAID, " IF I HAD NOT FALLEN, HE WOULD HAVE MAULED ME…" WHEN I FELL, HE STOPPED, WHEN GOT UP AND RAN HE STAYED STILL… The very next day I heard on the news that a person had been severly mauled that morning at Mount Scott park. FOR A LONG TIME NOW I STILL STRUGGLE TO LOOK AT A NICKEL AND NOT SMILING LoL
But after watching/saving MOST your video playlists now I MUST SAY, "YOUR WIFE IS LUCKY TO HAVE YOU, MY FRIEND". GOD HAS TRULY BLESSED US…
TX FOR YOUR PATIENCE WITH THIS LONG COMMENT.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AS HE HAS MINE.
I aint saying my mother in laws cooking is bad, just saying the Dog dont come to the kitchen table anymore.
Kent is an awesome cooky but man, that's a lot of work for what amounts to a beef soup. My Gramma was born in 1896 and I still remember her making it and how much I loved it. I still make it today and everyone that has eaten it is amazed at how good it is. It's nothing special but there is one ingredient that changes the whole dynamic and makes it so special. I will say that there was no bacon or mushrooms involved. Those were luxury items for rich people. This looks great though.
You need some cornbread with that.
I'd use celery in lieu of mushrooms, but otherwise that looks fabulous!
That's to looked absolutely amazing and I can't wait to do that recipe myself and I really wish someday you would do a fan guest participant thing to where you pick a guest a YouTube subscriber or somebody to come and help you cook and to learn your cooking with you and try what you're making because sir I would love to be the first one to do that thank you so much and my wedding is May 26th of 2023 if you feel it in your heart come cook for us that would be absolutely awesome and amazing. Just telling you you have an invite sir. Thank you for all you do.
Sorry I'm from Canada, what is "hominy"?
