  1. So good. I’ve made this 4 times now. Each time it’s been great. I tried it with chicken tonight because my wife requested. I caught myself saying “be delicious, be delicious” while preparing the meat 😂

  2. Hello! What was that after the sugar??? I thought I had everything but as I was making the sauce I realized that's the only thing missing. I want to order this so I can finish making it tomorrow. I wasn't sure of spelling so I wasn't sure what I was looking for in the description box.

  4. Just made it. 5 stars all the way. Panda’s? Admittedly, I don’t like Panda Express in general but if I go I get this or black pepper chicken. But their Beijing beef is usually hard depending how long it’s been sitting there (and too sweet).

I made this recipe today, and it was good, however, I don't know if this is normal because I had never used Sambal before, but it had a very putrid smell that made the sauce a bit unpleasant (the taste was good, but the smell was not). Is there something else I can substitute for it like dobanjiang or gochujang?

  6. just tried making this tonight and wow i cannot put into words how good this is. i thought i left the beef in the oil for a little too long, as it was browner than in the video, but oh my lord this was so good. you can tailor the sauce to your liking. i used a little more ginger and used sriracha as well, and a touch more MSG. this is going to become a dish i cook for treasured friends and guests.

  7. Saving this recipe for some day, I hope soon, when Sambal Oelek is available in North America again. It's been quite a while, and I ran out of the stuff weeks ago. I really wouldn't want to skip it for this meal!
