No real Italian would put oil in the noodlewater tho. Some say, it helps with sticky pasta but more importantly, it prevents the sauce from sticking to the pasta. So in the end, youll have noodles that are not coated with sauce and who wants that? … Also half my family is Italian, they never did it, its a myth
