Recipe:
Country fried steak
1 6-8 ounce tender cut of steak
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 egg
1/3 of a cup of flour
1 tsp butter
3 tbs of olive oil
Method: medium heat
butterfly a tender cut of steak 2 times, place between 2 plastic sheeets and hit it until you feel better about your life, season with salt and pepper and dredge in cornstarch then 1 beaten egg then in flour you can deep fry this but I chose to shallow fry this in 1 tbs of butter and 3 tbs of olive oil sear on both sides for about 5 mins and season with salt and pepper when you remove it from the pan
Sausage gravy
4 breakfast sausages
I/2 cup of coconut water
2 tbs of crème freche
1 tsp of chicken bouillon powder
1 tbs flour
Method: medium heat
While using the fat left in the same pan you cooked the steak in sauté your diced sausages until browned add 1 tbs of flour stir until combined and deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup of coconut water let that simmer and reduce by half season with chicken bouillon and simmer until thick add 2 tbs of crème freche and simmer until desired gravy thickness
