    For the cake:

    • Sugar — 1 tbsp

    • Cream cheese — 150–200 g
    • Caramel sauce — to taste (1–3 tbsp)

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the orange
    • Wash the orange well.
    • Grate the zest (only the orange part).
    • Cut the orange into pieces, remove any seeds.
    • Blend into a smooth purée.

    2. Make the batter
    • In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy.
    • Add vegetable oil and mix.
    • Add the orange purée and zest.
    • Sift in the flour and baking powder.
    • Gently fold everything together until smooth.

    3. Baking
    • Use any cake or loaf pan.
    • Bake at 170–180°C (340–355°F) for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    4. Orange syrup
    • Mix the orange juice with 1 tbsp sugar.
    • Warm slightly until the sugar dissolves.
    • Pour the syrup over the warm cake right after baking to make it extra moist.

    5. Caramel cream cheese topping
    • Mix cream cheese with caramel sauce.
    • Whip with a spoon or mixer until creamy.
    • Spread on the fully cooled cake.
