Dinner Rolls

These easy dinner rolls are soft, fluffy, buttery and totally irresistible! Is there anything better than the smell of freshly baked dinner rolls straight from the oven? It’s pretty hard to beat. This is my absolute favorite recipe for making the most delicious sweet, soft and buttery rolls ever and it’s so easy! The hardest part is waiting for the dough to rise. Whether you serve these rolls alongside your Thanksgiving dinner, dunk them into soups, or use them for sandwiches they’re guaranteed to be a family favorite!

  1. My mother made THE BEST homemade dinner rolls when I was growing up. When I got into my 30's & 40's when I wanted to learn how to make them, my mother had gotten much older and she forgot how to make them. She said it had been years since she made them. Now, I am in my 60's and my mother passed away a few months ago at the age of 94. I truly wanted her to live long enough so that I could show her, I finally mastered dinner rolls. Today, I am trying this recipe. If they don't come out right, I will keep trying. Thank You for sharing your recipe. I pray that I got it right.

  2. Hello John,
Stopped by your channel when I saw Orange Chicken video. I made Orange Chicken for the first time, and it was so tasty.
Wow Wow Wow Dinner Roll recipe, it turned out more than I expected it.
Thank you for sharing such a perfect recipe that I could make it at home.

  3. Your recipes are DELICIOUS! My husband has been losing weight at a unhealthy rate. The doctors are baffled. Since I've found your channel and website, he's maintaining his weight. Packing a bit on too. He's a beanpole to begin with so Thanks!!

  4. I did another recipe yesterday. It was too dry the dough didn't rise well. The flavor and texture were great. I wanted a risen roll. So, I tried your recipe after watching and reading the comments. I did it exactly as you said. My buns are high and raising well. I can't wait to get them baked and taste them.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Much gratitude of this day of thanks.

  5. I have made this recipe twice now… Both times I needed to add flour, more than the 390g. About 6 additional tablespoons. Dough was way too wet and sticky. Luckily you can always add more dry. They did turn out delicious but I was scared both times thinking I did it wrong.

  6. why are dinner rolls so expensive in the store. They are litteraly like 2$ each (and that's if you get the cheap ones…sometimes they can go as high as 5$ each). I'll just make mine this year and I'm following this simple yet awesome recipe. Thanks so much!

  7. Ok John, I made your yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls today. I have not bakes them. I want to refrigerate and bake them tomorrow morning. So my whole house will smell homey! But everything has happened just the way you said. But why does it all look so pretty when proofed? Lol. Thanks so much!❤️

  8. Hey so you’re my new go to guy. But getting in touch with you has not been successful for me. I’ve asked you a few questions, and have not received a response. You’re successful now and I’m sure extremely busy. Not to mention you have a whole family. AnyWho… I made this recipe today, and it came out exactly like yours except mine has no smell and no taste. While following your recipe, you said the bread smelled amazing, and then you said it tasted so good. I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong??? I have noticed my yeast is expiring the end of this month, could that be it? I have to justify every carb I eat, and if it’s not going to taste amazing then I’m not interested in eating it. I do not think it’s your recipe, I have tried several of them and they’re all great, I must’ve done something wrong and I would appreciate if you could help me figure out what that was.
