Bitterness is especially hard to taste in a hot liquid. You gotta love ATK for the in-depth layman's explanation. My bias has nothing to do with my crush on the ladies of ATK.
I like your YouTube channel, but I'm sorry you're doing these "shorts". I won't watch them.iterally clicked and paused the video just to say that. If I wanted shorts, I'd do Tik Tok.
If you worked for Starbucks and watch JAmes Hoffman videos- you realize everything they taught you was wrong in order to cover up the taste of their coffee
Rubbish. It’s a hot drink for a reason: heat intensifies the aroma and taste. Using his logic against him: if taste good at ur temp it’ll taste even better hotter!
I don't agree with this. If your espresso tastes bad at room temperature, it doesn't mean that it's bad espresso. If you want espresso that's a little bit bitter hot, it's going to have to be very bitter at room temperature. It's the same way that ice cream has to be very sweet at room temperature to have the right level of sweetness when frozen. You should tune the taste of a food or drink for the temperature at which it's meant to be served.
30 seconds is the limit for a shot to , then it starts to taste like nothing. This cc is confidently incorrect about everything. Stir the shot? Lose the crema? Holy crap this person is shite.
I have notice for a long time it tastes betters after sitting there a while
Same with beer/white wine/champagne/rose. If you can't enjoy it at room temperature then it tastes bad, making it cold hides the bad taste.
They suggest you to drink it quick also to make you fck off sooner in order to have as many customers a day as possible.
Is it safe to assume the same for normal coffee?
Sorry not. IMO

Does this philosphy apply for cold beer or other hot or cold drinks?
Awesome tip.

I love ice 🤭
So all the cold coffee I've drank and didn't like was because it's bad coffee. I'll stick with hot.
