Your conclusion is biased. You used 2 different salads to prove the technique. 1 with just romaine (a single texture, leaf shape) and the other with multiple shape, size and textured ingredients plus round tomatoes and flat cucumber slices. 5 tosses, 12 tosses, unequal medium. Did you even use the same dressing because they appear different in texture as well. Having said all that, you're still correct. Dress the bowl 1st 😊
personally i really dont care if it's evenly coated. let me tell you why though. if i get a piece with a big glop on it i just stir a little or fork around for some without a lot

I like to go one better and dress my mouth first. Saves on washing up
OR… you can put dressing intermittently: put little, mix, put more, mix, put more, mix…

Everyone knows not to use a metal knife on lettuce.
What if you use both techniques¿
I like to dip! One bite with dressing, two bites without dressing, otherwise not enough dressing if all tossed.
That's a great idea I never thought of it
My husband has been doing the dressing in the bowl for years.
Nothing like a cold bowl to eat your fresh salad from. 🥗

Nice! I’ll definitely try this out
Great tip. I'm 60 and it took me like 55 years to figure this out.
