Today I am making an easy simplified molé sauce with the help of Doña Maria’s store bought jar of molé. This easy for ingredient sauce is great when you are pressed for time but want a delicious mole sauce.

Is that Abulita chocolate? That mole top has 3 points to open with a bottle opener btw
this is exactly the recipe i need ,,,i was watching other mole videos and my head was.spinning …thank you from a dorky white boy !
Brought the sauce and the chocolate home from Mexico and making some chicken today. Exactly what I was looking for gracias!
I didn’t know I was watching Rachel Ray. Peanut butter and more chocolate to a sauce that already has chocolate? 🤔🙄
Where can I get the mexican hot chocolate from please reply and what is it called
This is good , only think I added was adding a few grilled guajillo peppers 🌶️ and licuar it with the mole sauce 🔥
What were the seeds at the end
This recipe is a must to keep! I’m trying this for sure. Thank you.
a regular bottle opener will open the jar, this doesn't look very safe. I use Dona Maria all the time and have one of those openers that opens jars on one side and has a pointy side to make hole in like evaporated milk and such.
Peanut butter? Chocolate?
Can you make it without the peanut butter and chocolate? I’m making it tomorrow for dinner for the first time (to try and impress my Mexican husband) 😂
Please please please use a manual can opener (church key style) not a knife to open the jar of mole sauce!!!
@simplymamacooks can I do this with lentils perhaps?
❤
where could i find that mexican chocolate at?
Where can I purchase the metal bowl you are using? I love it! Mole looks delicious!
I am going to use you great simple recipe.
Today is going to be the first time make mole poblano for my family.
Thank you

Don't use a knife! Use a bottle opener, hold the jar with a paper towel and slowly push up on the lid. You can also use almond butter instead of peanut.
Where’s the greens? My mom used chaote squash, some shredded cabbage and tomatoes. We only got half that amount of chicken, then the sauce went over it. I loved drinking out of the little glass jars. Thanks for sharing this recipe, can’t wait to try it.
You’re amazing❤️

My mother-in-law taught me to make this recipe. She boiled the chicken, and did not add the chocolate, but otherwise it's the same recipe as yours. I've always wondered who figured out that adding a little peanut butter was a good thing? It is good, but it just seems so unlikely.
Just an fyi, on opening to mole from anybody who is just watching the video. Use a bottle opener and not a knife, the blunt end not the pointed end used for puncturing.
I just add the liquid because the mole already has peanuts and chile peppers.
Delicious so easy
I guess this is an acquired taste type sauce, but I didn't like it neither did my boyfriend. I really wanted to like it though, I do enjoy the other recipes I will definitely try some of the other ones you have.
