  1. Most versions have a chef who is cooking with her hair put back…my God please think about how it looks to others who you are not serving, your hair hanging in your face….they may choose to tell you otherwise but it is still unappetizing even in they don't say so

  2. There’s a rare sort of comfort in watching Nicole McLaughlin cook.
She doesn’t swagger into the kitchen looking for applause — she just gets to work, like someone who understands that feeding people is equal parts service and love.

Her recipes aren’t pretentious, and neither is she.
She cooks like folks used to — with confidence earned from repetition, mistakes made, and lessons learned.
And that confidence shows up not in volume, but in ease.

At a time when everyone online wants to be dazzling, Nicole chooses to be useful.
She teaches without preaching, encourages without pandering, and turns everyday food into something that feels like home.

So hats off to Nicole — a steady hand in a noisy world, reminding us that good cooking isn’t about spectacle.
It’s about care, craft, and feeding people well.
More of that, please. My family and I just love her!

  3. The only thing I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole is that shrimp with all that "stuff" blended together!
Oh my word!!! LOL (Capers, olives…. caviar is like licking the outside of a fish… ick!) LMBO!! Not a seafood person…. but you all can "knock yourself out" with the appetizers!

Really love those green bean bundles… how cute and fancy are those!?! And I am with you on the turkey….. I serve prime rib for Christmas and soups/ and dips for New Years.
