Instant Pot Two Timin’ Pasta! Try this easy dump and go Instant Pot pasta recipe that takes 5 minutes of prep!
I used my 6 quart Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer* ( You can also make this with no changes in an 8 quart pot. For the 3 quart pot, halve all the ingredients and keep the cooking time the same.
I used a jar of Ragu for the marinara sauce and a jar of Classico roasted garlic alfredo for the white sauce. Use whatever brand of sauce you like best.
I used a box of penne rigate. You can also use bowties, cavatappi, elbow macaroni, small shells or another short cut pasta.
If youโd like to add meat to this recipe you can. Try adding in chopped rotisserie chicken. Or you can cut up small bite size cubes of uncooked chicken breasts or thighs and add them in with the pasta. Another option is to brown ground beef or turkey on the sautรฉ setting and then deglazing the pot with step 1 in the recipe card.
If you like this recipe try Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Salsa Pasta ( Itโs a similar recipe except it uses salsa in the place of marinara sauce.

Thank you for this recipe. I have a similar one that is started on the stovetop and finished in the oven. Now I can make in my IP Viva and finish it with the air fry lid.
Love these type of dump recipes ! Theyโre perfect for my toddler to get involved so we will definitely be making this with some spinach ๐ thanks for sharing
Hi Karen: I just pooped in to tell you I tried two of your recipes the last few days and they were great. We had the Balsamic Chicken and the Lazy wife's Dinner they were both fantastic. Hubby went back for seconds on the Lazy Wife's Dinner he liked it so well. I was a little skeptical on both of these dishes but much to my surprise they were both wonderful. Thank you for all you wonderful recipes we really enjoy them.
Made this last evening it was wonderfully quick and easy. I look forward to more recipes that are easy and delicious!
You could of course have it with Ragu one day and Alfredo the day after. My waistline would vote for that. ๐
btw This is the second time I have heard the explanation for not stiring this last week. Cannot recall the other site.
Tried this yesterday and it was a flop. ๐
I like the saucy itโs not all, that saucy, I think itโs great.
Love it
I am making this recipe for dinner tonight. I only need half the amount of pasta. Should I use the same amount of broth?
I just love your channel! Short and sweet and to the point.
If I cut pasta in half, would I cut water and sauces in half also. No family to feed.
Could I use bowtie pasta?
I prefer my pasta al dente, how do you keep the pasta from getting to mushy in the pressure, I always struggle with this?
Love the non-stick spray on the spoon trick for the Better Than Bouillon!
I got your new updated cook book. Shipment came quickly. Itโs great and SO many recipes! You must have spent a ton of time putting it together. This recipe sounds like a winner too. Thanks Karen! ๐๐ผ
Spraying the measuring spoon before is genius! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐
This looks SO yummy! I'd stir in a bag of baby spinach leaves along with the mozzarella cheese.
Your pasted came out too watery because you put too much water. Put pasta in pot first and just barely cover the pasta with the water. Then add your sauce. Never ever add cornstarch!!
I have a instant pot duo nova 8 quart does the fryer lid fit on it?
So 4 cups of water instead of the chicken base?
Thank you so much for this recipe and I will be serving it to my mom whom is 82 years young. ๐๐ป๐๐ป
