Easy One-Pan Pasta #Shorts



This pasta dish is the epitome of fast and easy cooking with only one pan needed and a few ingredients to make a savory and satisfying meal. Adapted slightly from Martha Stewart Living (June 2013). GET THE RECIPE โ–บโ–บ

PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS

12 ounces linguine
12 ounces cherry or grape tomatoes, halved or quartered if large
1 onion, thinly sliced (about 2 cups)
4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 sprigs basil, plus torn leaves for garnish
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
Coarse salt
Freshly ground black pepper
4 1/2 cups water
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Iโ€™ve made this before and Iโ€™ll say as a med student who often doesnโ€™t have time to cook properly, this is an easy go to meal, just put everything in a pan and leave it to do itโ€™s thing for 10 minutes while I get back to work. Is it gourmet authentic cooking? No but its not bad, like some have said frying the onion and garlic first gives an extra depth of flavour and change out water for stock but otherwise itโ€™s not that bad of a meal for something easy and quick!

  2. I can't help wonder if this recipe is a lowkey middle-finger to youtube for making their content creators publish ultra #short videos to compete with tiktok. This is what happens when producers start putting their hands in the creative process for no reason other than greed. Let your creators continue to create what makes them successful in the first place. โœŒ๏ธ
