Fun fact, William Sonoma pans are made by US Pan who also make their gray version, but the gold touch is exclusively made for WS only. Whether you buy WS or US pan, the quality is superior.
Rounded corners are to prevent residues and ease cleaning. No surpise this is called "Sanitary finish".
Williams Sonoma Goldtouch® Nonstick Rectangular Cake Pan, 9" x 13"
Is no longer available I would like to see an updated version of this video
You're supposed to bake using a lower temperature if it's a dark pan 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
U iz dum….
Round corners clean up is much better…
I have been baking cinnamon rolls in my pampered chef stoneware and it has never worked they do not cook fully
Praised be Lisa McManus, supreme arbiter of kitchen truth 🙏
OXO and William Sonoma are the best, but if I had to choose between the two I'd go for the OXO.
I’m wondering if I can use the winning pan to bake a chicken thigh. I don’t need a big roasting pan
Thanks
I've been experimenting with the Williams Sonoma GoodTouch(r) bakeware line over the past year. I have used them in my oven, BBQ and toaster oven air fryer with very good results. I like it so well that when a friend's grandson and his fiance picked another bakeware set, I asked them if I could upgrade them to the set that included the 9×13 GoldTouch baking pan. I feel great that they agreed and I could give them something of quality that might well be the only set they will need for their lifetime. The weight and quality, seems to me to be professional grade.
Glass, Porcelein, & (Metal USA pans & USA pan Goldtouch made for Williams Sonoma) but do not put nonstick pans in dishwasher!
Use parchment and any pan you want. Making sumthin outta nuthin at all.
That William Sonoma pan is no longer available! Any chance you’ll do a new review of currently available pans?
Did American test kitchen do a testing for basic round ones? Am having a problem finding one that not slopped.
I love my fat daddio's 9×13 3-in deep non removable bottom pan.
You had me at corn bread.
This is a really old video. Your winner is no longer made.
These pans RUST under the rolled edge, and Williams-Sonoma will not stand by the product for you to be able to return them. For how much all of these Gold Touch products cost, you can purchase an entire set of a different product, and one which the company will stand by.
Do not waste your money on these.
You are the best! Thank you.
Just cook your cornbread in a lodge 14 dollar cast iron skillet. Cast iron will cook it perfectly. Plus she is making too big of a deal on corners of pans.
In 2021 the price went up to $39.95
How much yellow cake batter goes into a 9x13x2 pan???
Good information, but I must say, brownie corner pieces are the absolute best.
USA pan is my favorite. As far as the alleged squished look, seems a bit sensational for TV. Made plenty of types Buns in that pan and it doesn't looked squashed. But they are so so easy to clean! The Muffin pans are a the best if you've ever over filled them. You know how awful it is to clean, with USA muffin pan it slides off easily.
I wish I could afford $58 (CAD) on a pan (Williams Sonoma goldtouch). Where is your best buy option?
Just get the broil pan instead of the glass one
Love Lisa. But I don’t understand why I need all three types.
I can't say I have ever looked at a brownie or cornbread with a curvy edge nd thought. 'ew, I can't eat that.' It's not like they all become middle pieces.
Ok so as a pastrychef, I need to comment on this one. I do watch the show frequently. So the Fat Daddies with the removable bottom and the frames that sit inside sheet pans, are specifically for cakes and nothing else. So I really feel like some of these tests weren't fair because that isn't what they are meant for. They are professional pans. The frames cut down on kitchen cost, so any sheet pan can be turned into a cake pan. Fat Daddios is meant to help remove the cake, although I wouldn't choose that type personally. I also don't understand why you would use tin foil in the tests. Parchment paper is more practical and very commonplace for these uses. Kitchen professionals use hotel pans for sticky buns and cornbread. At home I personally would use either my Pyrex casserole dish or my le cruset small casserole for those tasks.
… but why would you make cornbread in anything but a cast iron?! Nerp.
I LOVE williams Sonoma, but the prices are so high. I only have one pan from them, a mini bundt pan one.
Good lord what home cook wants “professional” results? I want my family to feel loved not serviced. Ugh.
Is Teflon coating non stick pan better for baking?plz tell me
Can you imagine the temp agency explaining the job to the soon to be equipment tester?
"Every home cook needs three baking pans"
Never heard of being poor, have you?
Nice review, thanks.
