  1. The first mistake was pouring the cherry straight out the can on the pan that's a "no-no" any fruit that's in cans should be cooked with powdered sugar to give it a sweeter taste than a tangy taste just thought i share that with you and to whom it may concern 😒🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi Justine, I made this the night before Easter Sunday and ohhh it turned out to be WONDERFUL!! 🌟🍒🍎🫐‼️The only thing I did a little differently was to use just 1 stick of butter instead of 2 (it's what I had at home and it worked fine 😉) This was so GOOD paired with some vanilla ice cream and the nicest part was that no one was committed to eating any particular flavor of pie filling. There's options out there like you said. So a very happy family, THANK YOU for sharing an easy to prepare recipe that was delicious!! 😊

    For those out there concerned about diabetes…I have had Type 1 insulin dependant diabetes for 35 years. I can have dessert, just can't eat huge portions 😉 A little bit and making sure the blood sugars stay where they need to be isn't impossible to do. Thankfully I don't have a huge sweet tooth. I do realize Type 2 diabetes has its own guidelines and recommendations, and I respect each person's needs. So fellas n' gals, do your best to do what works best for YOU, and YOUR specific needs, YOUR family, and remember to be grateful and decent. 🌟❣️
