I made my first loaf about 2 years ago. It turned out flat and gummy so I gave up but kept my starter going and used it for discard recipes. I tried making loaves again and after a few attempts they look amazing. Do not give up! Some failures are good because you learn from them.
"only 2 weeks old" π
I'm almost positive this happens due to the prior day feeding being left at lower temps when rising.
Iβve done the same. Now I make perfect bread.
Wow, took me dozens of loaves to get consistent loaves! Congrats!
I use AP or Rye flour. It grows quicker. You can use another flour for recipe. Many recipes call for more than one flour.
Buddy your making progress. π
Life is all about , succeeding after
The failures.
5 weeks?! Most tutorials I see took only 1 week?
Yalllllll get starters from friends!!
If it took this long then it must be that the temperature was wuite low and even that the environment is more "sterile" somehow
Beautiful loaf! My 5 week old starter was still too weak to bake like that. Sheβs gotten way stronger now though. Good job! π
