Food seems to stick quite a bit to the grill, especially Chicken. Any tips to keep that from happening?

Great video. I've had my Weber Q1200 for 7 years now and love. It's perfect for our family that lives in an apartment.

I picked my 1200 up from target on Clarence at seventy seven dollars

It’s the only grill I will own, well…this and the Weber smoky Joe. I own 3 of them. The 1 lb tanks are useless, I use a 20 lb tank. Lasts months and months, and I use it a lot

Have had my 2000 for 15 years and will continue to use it for the rest of my life. I’ve replaced the burner tube twice and have a spare on hand. I’ve changed the push starter and the regulator once. Mine has the one heavy cast iron grate. I would prefer a split grate but those I see at Home Depot seem too light and thin. I’m waiting for my thermometer to come in the mail to add on my grill. I never knew there was an electric start option and depending on the cost I might add one.

Can do a beer can chicken if you use the extension that comes with the rotisserie set.

Great content thanks for sharing! I'm staying in an apartment and I have been thinking of getting a smaller grill and this helps a lot.

Thanks for all the great content! These tips were great.
I just bought a Q1200N with the premium cart for a new condo that I'm moving into in a few weeks (Brisbane, Australia), and then discovered this channel. I can't wait to use the Q, and try some of the suggestions that you've posted.

Two comments. There is another important difference between the small Weber Q models. the one with the thermometer also has a higher dome lid – you can fit bigger birds in there. Also, to get a low-low temperature for brisket, lift the lid a few millimeters and stick an object in the gap to keep it there. Experiment with how much you need to lift it to get the desired low temperature.

Thank you for sharing this! I’m in process of buying a Weber propane gas grill 3200, what do you recommend?

Great tips, I love the Divers Watch, is it a Seiko?

I cooked a leg of lamb on my webber Q. The juices from the lamb were all dried up, and I couldn't make my gravy, as I normally do. Why does it dry up?

as of Jan 2024 the Q1200 has a thermometer and electric ignite

I love my Baby Q. Thanks for the great advice for maintaining it. I’m going to have it scrubbed up and ready to BBQ for our NZ summer festive season.

For lower temp cooking, try raising up for indirect grilling and find a way to prop the lid just an inch or so. You should be able to obtain 250 degrees F.

Thank You I found this very helpful – although I clean my Weber Q Family Premium 3200 every time we use it thus avoiding any problems so far. Boy do I love it though cooks fantastic BBQ,S. Cheers Denise- Australia

How would you prepare coffee while camping with this grill?

  27. @Howard-ur2rj Avatar

Owned my Baby Q for over 14 years ( originally for camping ) and still love it. When my fancy gas grill died, Baby migrated to our house deck and use it often. 2 years ago purchased a pellet smoker which takes care of the bigger cooks,….. including briskets. Funny watching your vid, I never bought the gas hose. Ordering hose now !!

Thanks for your videos , you talked me into getting the Q1200 , Now I will learn how to use it properly , also I saw a video and the guy used Cornish hens and small beer cans and made two beer can chickens . If there's a will , there is a way to do anything . The brisket you can do on your Charcoal Q ! Cook it with the indirect method . I already see I'm going to love this grill . I have 5 different kinds of BBQ Grills and 2 Kamado grills . Turning into a BBQ nut , Loving every moment of it !

I actually just bought the 1200 for myself and 12 year old daughter, I used it a few times already and its a big difference from the previous grills I have purchased in the past (the little cheap $20 ones). I however have come to a point where I need to clean out the cookbox, wondering if other than the one official scraper that is on the Weber site, if you had any other suggestions on the plastic scraper?
I for sure am going to purchase the adapter and bigger tank, the three times I've used it has already killed one tank, which does reach up to about 3 hours total.

Great video. I want to convert mine to a larger propane tank. What is the complete process to do that? Do you have a video on how to do it? TIA.

  31. @maxfreedman7139 Avatar

Fellow Chicago WeberQ user here! Do you ever re-season you Q grill grates? If so, what's your technique?

  32. @veganwaffle Avatar

I saw someone do ribs with the indirect method, do you believe the temp will be love enough?

  33. @NK-tm6tf Avatar

    Love your video.sooooo good

  34. @GONZOFAM7 Avatar

Good stuff. I use a Q1000 for home and the lake. It does great. We use a 18" weber egg and 18" Smokey Mountain if we need more capacity. I'd love a thermostat, great idea. I'll have to do the cleaning maintenance on mine. I only wish it was dual zone but I guess you can't have everything in that little guy.

You should just get a Weber Kettle original, so much easier to use, and real bbq flavour! With a chimney coal lighter, you're cooking in no time at all, using quality coal.
