  1. Interesting recipe, good production and audio is well-recorded. I like the idea of the pork, spicy and crispy and the rice with some veggies. Not so much the fruit sauce. I get the idea behind plum sauce used in mushu pork, how the sweetness balances the flavors. I would be afraid that pear would be too sweet.

  2. I know this is a super late comment, but that is way more than food pantries here give, and I'm a family of 4, soon to be 5. I wish food was more accessible for people who can't really afford it. But i also understand that it isn't always easy for pantries to come by either

  3. I love that you are doing this. Years and years ago, during my internship, I worked with people to help them learn to use the groceries they were given. They weren't as blessed as today. The bags and boxes have some pretty good items in them now.

  4. Second time doing this but this time I omitted adding the fat to the rice and less Italian seasoning and it was so damn good. The hardest was the sauce. I feel like I couldn’t get it right but hey everything tastes amazing! Thank you!!!

  5. I got literally the exact same can of pork from the school the other day. I was wondering wtf am I gonna do with this? Tacos maybe? Pulled pork sandwiches? Nope I'm gonna make this cause for once I actually have all the ingredients. Plus I get to use up my leftover white rice in the fridge from when we ordered Chinese food takeout the other day. They always give a bunch of white rice (even when I tell them no ty) and noone ever eats it. Once in a while I end up making something with it but most of the time it sits in the fridge until I toss it.

  6. OMG I got a food pantry box because I lost my job and we are a family of 3. I have 2 of those cans of Pork and was wondering what to do with it. I have all those ingredients. Thank you so much.

  7. whenever I get canned pork or beef like this my fav thing to do is just toss it into a pot an boil it in its own juices till its rendered down, smashing it around a lil with a spoon, then adding brown sugar BBQ , worshire sauce, and honey, an simmer it for like, an hour an a half on low heat, already cooked this makes it so tender, plus the fat already in the can makes it nice an greasy which is how I feel a pulled pork sandwich outta be, it ain't real pulled pork unless grease drips down your arms tryna hold it XD

  8. Also, the recipe and the food ( maybe not the GSC— but so what! LOL) from the pantry seemed to be nutritious. I liked how you rinsed the pork to reduce the fat and I think it would also reduce the sodium which is a good idea for people at risk for heart disease and high blood pressure! Thanks again
