I have an even better hack. I goto my local store that sells prepeeled garlic and i give them money. Amazingly, even before I get home, all of my garlic are peeled.
I always peel garlic this way.
I just go to the Chinese grocery store and buy a jar of fresh pealed garlic for a few bucks when I know that I need that much.
Easy way to do garlic. Put in plastic bowl. Microwave for 30 to 45 seconds. Put lid on bowl and shake until skins come off. Has never failed.

Every time I've tried this the sticky garlic juices make the skin stick to the garlic. I always go back to peeling.

Why is the still shot on the video whole roasted garlic but there is no roasting, cooking, or anything of the garlic? Also why is the garlic cut in the still shot but no cutting was done in the "hack"? This is very misleading from a visual standpoint. Might as well show a finished cooked steak and then show a video about how to properly dice beef for a stew.
20 minutes this way ….. or 20 seconds with just a gentle smack of the clove under your knife slightly breaking the clove , and the peel falls off
you can see unpeeled cloves on the counter at the end
