How to cook Goan Pork Sorpotel, Delicious Goan Pork Sorpotel Curry | Goan Sorpotel Recipe
►Curry made with parboiled pork heart and meat, diced, sautéed and cooked in spicy and vinegary masala paste

Ingredients:
1½ kg pork
500 gms pork heart or liver
3 cups water
3 onions
½ Tbsp. turmeric powder
5 Tbsp. tamarind pulp
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. vinegar
salt to taste
oil for frying
15 red dried kashmiri chillies
12 garlic cloves
½” ginger
½ tsp. cumin seeds
4 peppercorns
1” cinnamon stick
8 cloves
2 pinches of salt
¼ cup vinegar
water to grind

  1. I am making this today 🙂 btw, Is that a glass cutting board you are cutting the pork on? …. its beautiful but it will blunt/dull your knives very very quickly.. A wooden/plastic cutting board is an ideal alternative. Just my two cents suggestion…..

  2. Hi! I am going to try this recipe but I don't think I would be able to get Goan Vinegar here in Australia. I've heard Apple Cider Vinegar, White Wine Vinegar, or Malt Vinegar could be used as an alternative. Any idea which one would be the best alternative? Thanks
