Googles #1 Rated “Best Steak Marinade” Recipe… REALLY?



We Found The Best Marinade For Steak…we combed through google to find the best marinade for steak and we went with their recommendation and just tested the very first result! This recipe says that its the best marinade for steak overnight which sounds a little off to me, so we’re going to test this one with a two-hour marinade against one of our staples at Kosmos Q, The Brisket Mop. Which we are pretty proud of. You’ll have to catch the video to see which recipe won out!

Ingredients:
Three Ribeye Steaks
Kosmos Q Brisket Mop
Kosmos Q Texas Beef Seasoning

Steak Marinade:
⅓ Cup Soy Sauce
½ Cup Olive Oil
⅓ Cup Lemon Juice
¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 ½ tbsp of Garlic Powder
3 tbsp of Dried Basil
1 ½ tbsp of Dried Parsley Flakes
1 tsp of Ground White Pepper
¼ tsp of Pepper Sauce (optional)
1 tsp of Minced Garlic

Recipe:
Step 1 – Prep all of the ingredients for the marinade.
Step 2 – blend them until well combined.
Step 3 – Pour the marinade into each bag and place the steaks in the bag.
Step 4 – Make sure all of the air is out of the bag so the steaks are completely covered with the marinade, and allow them to marinate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
Step 5 – Once your steaks are ready light your grill and get it to the desired temperature.
Step 6 – Cook your steaks indirect until they reach about 100 degrees F.
Step 7 – Sear each steak well over direct flame.
Step 8 – Allow the steaks to rest, carve them up and pick your favorite!

  1. Not sure if I left something out but uh…whatever the recipe calls for recipe did not WOW ME I had to make gravy and fried some onions to add more flavor. This recipe is more of a bland flavor. I'm black so I like to taste some salt on my steak and the soy sauce and seasoning apparently was not enough.

    I'm going to make s big mess with the food processor making marinade
    .THERE IS NO SUCH THING as BEST. This is a personal matter of taste..
    Just like there is no" best" bbq recipe: sweet or vinegar based both are 👍

I’m not sure but by placing the steaks on different areas of the grill would this make the steak cook and taste a little different and if their from different Packaging unless like me buy slabs whole of the strip lion and cut to thickness and like I prefer so if the steak pieces you’d think in thickness is different to were marinade soaks into it you would think would had made quite a difference in taste I’ve going to a 5star beef house mine could be bland but my hubbies amazing because sometimes I’m seriously cursed we’re it’s always my steak even a Fillet mignon is though and bland but again hubbies amazing and the chef couldn’t figure out why because from same slab that’s why I won’t any longer go out and spend a fortune on eating out when I can master it to perfection at home cheaper and tastes 5star minus I’m stuck doing the clean up haaa

Small ideas you can slam together : Greek Marinade (24hrs) Add in lemon juice for a real zip, Or you can go with Liquid Smoke Many stores sell it near the BBQ section if not ask them, Brown sugar, Honey, Maple syrup, Molasses, Apple juice – Sweetness add ins / Garlic, crush Or powdered chili peppers, cracked black peppers, horse radish- little kicks I also love chimichurri sauce Let that marinade over night Cook the meat And slap on another layer of sauce…Amazing

  6. Tried the Google marinade…. ya…. not for me. I use to be the guy marinating the steak with as many thing I could come up with. Now…. just salt and pepper. Let the steak be what it's supposed to be. What's the point of eating a steak and making it taste like it's not beef. JMO.

  7. I know this video has nothing to do with ribs but how would you recommend cooking my ribs should I put the brown sugar and honey on it and wrap it then cook it meat side down or up I normally do meat side down but looking to better it thanks
