INGREDIENTS:
3 cups chopped kale
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
1 banana
1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
1/2 cup unsweetened soy, hemp or almond milk
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds

INSTRUCTIONS:
Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth and creamy.

Green Smoothie Recipe # 2

2 Servings

2 cups frozen kale
1 cup frozen broccoli
1 banana
1 cup unsweetened soy, hemp or almond milk
2 tablespoons raw almonds
2 tablespoons hemp seed
2 Medjool dates or 4 regular dates, pitted (see note)
1/2 teaspoon ground flax seed

INSTRUCTIONS:
Blend all of the above ingredients in a high powered blender and after reaching a smooth creamy consistency, add a few ice cubes and blend for 30-40 seconds more.

Note: For diabetic or weight loss diets, use half the amount of dates.
