Hamburger Steak w/Gravy & Onions
Ingredients
* 1-2 lbs ground beef
* 1 large onion
* 1/4 cup flour
* 1 cup beef broth
* salt, back pepper & garlic powder
Directions
* Cut onions into slices, then cut slices in half.
* Form ground beef into 8 oz. patties.
* Season patties on both sides with salt, black pepper & garlic powder to taste.
* Place patties in a hot skillet and cook on medium-high heat until both sides have formed a nice crust and the meat is cooked to your liking.
* Remove patties and place onions in the skillet with the remaining beef fat. Add salt, black pepper & garlic powder to taste.
* Stir onions in skillet until soft and slightly caramelized.
* Add flour and mix with the onions to form a roux.
* Increase heat to high, add beef broth and whisk until smooth and no lumps.
* When gravy comes to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and occasionally stir gravy until ready to eat.
* Place the hamburger steak on a bed of mashed potatoes or just by itself on a plate and smother with the gravy & onions. Enjoy!

Ahh yes.. classic hawaiian cuisine. Add a fried egg and serve over rice and you got a Loco Moco!
Man I wish I liked onions! It's in just about every dish where I'm from. (deep south) , On the flip side I love garlic.
