  1. Honey – almost 80% of it is carbs/sugar (fructose & glucose) while white sugar is a pure dissacchride [99%] i.e sucrose (fructose + glucose). Then the thing is, white sugar is readily absorbed as it is in it's lower most molecular form i.e glucose. But other forms need breakdown to become glucose. So the quantity is what matters followed by , in what form we consume glucose. Note that carbs doesn't necessarily need to be something sweet. My suggestion is , if you consume low Glycemic index foods, it won't cause rapid raise in blood sugar level which is quite safer.
