Homemade Hamburger Helper recipe for a quick weeknight dinner for the family. Heat a large pot to medium low and add with tbsps of olive oil, 1/2 cup diced onions and 2 tbsps of minced garlic. Then add 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef and turn the heat up to medium. Season with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1 tbsp of oregano. Cook for 4-5 minutes and then pour in 1 can of tomato sauce, 1 1/2 cups of water, 1 cup heavy cream and 2 cups macaroni. Mix everything, bring down heat to a simmer and cover with a lid for 12 minutes. Uncover and add in a bag of cheddar cheese. Mix until melted and serve
