Joanne created Fifteen Spatulas to show people the cooking from scratch isn’t as intimidating as they might think. On the blog you’ll find recipes with step-by-step photos and explanations of the how’s and why’s of cooking (like why patting a steak dry before searing is so important, or how the hardness of your tap water can affect the strength of your bread dough). Happy cooking!

  1. hi
i tried fruit roll up and it turned out amazing. Then after two or three hours it became hard although i stored it in storage plastic bags. So could u let me know why it got hard. And how to store it to keep it soft and gummy.
    Thanks

  2. can I use store bought strawberry jam? I don't have any parchment paper. Is there a way to bake in the oven without it and just have it flat as I prefer to just have strips of it and not roll it at the end (also will be easier to give as a treat to my 19 month old daughter without rolling them)

  3. my mom makes these things all the time for me to take to lunch. they are my favorite snack but today at lunch I got robbed!!! someone stole all my lunch and my fruit leather!! I was really mad. all I did was get up to get a fork and I came back it was gone!

  4. Not hate: But is the picture u used as a example of homemade roll ups the ones u made or did u details it off the Internet I'm confused cause it looks like the one u made and the hand looks like urs ( please no hate replys I'm not hating I'm just asking I'm really confused?!.)😕

  5. Thank you for this recipe, tho thinking…refined sugar not necessary. If you want extra sweetness or flavors you can use Agave, Stevia or a combination of both. Strawberries go really well with a hint of Cardamon and Cinnamon. Those spices enhance the flavors beautifully.
