I don't think I've ever seen a Bulgogi marinade without a pear before. It seems like this recipe will miss it but I may try it and see.

The first Korean food I had as a kid (early 1990s) was kimchi — my friends mother was Korean and she did homemade, and I loved it! Fast forward a few decades (2018 or so), and my first Korean dish as an adult was bulgogi, and it blew my mind! I finally gave it a shot tonight, and loving it! Thank you both Aaron and Claire!
