The only way I can make this method work is by finishing it under the broiler. My grill doesn’t retain heat well.

I love it, looks delicious! I have a question, I have a pizza steel and I think I overheated it at first time I tried… it got to around 550 on the steel… but I will try 450 next time and leave the side burners on only. When you put the pizza on the stone you raised the gas to max, I would have loved to see how hot the stone got for the second pizza to know if it was too hot? I hope my question makes sense. thanks for the lovely explanation! Forza Italia!
Instead of a pizza stone, would a round flat cast iron pan work ?

hah! loved the splash at the end. i have a outdoor griddle and a grill close to our pool, but haven't fallen in yet while cooking. i suppose that it is only a matter of time though. you pressed through it like a champ and stayed on task for the video. love it, man!
