Hey what about the temp probe
How often should I clean it like this?
How often?
Just an FYI, don't use your spouse's $500 dyson vacuum for this job, put a liner in your shopvac. I use Blackstone griddle grease to season the grate. Occasionally repaint the lid with Rustoleum, high heat to prevent rust.
Pro 780 – bought 4 months ago… I love the thing…but it's ALWAYS telling me the grill is not cleaned. I clean it all the time, and have followed these steps religiously, still tells me it's not clean and will not affect performance. My lid also has torsioned itself, so it no longer seats flush with the barrel. I have the cover since the first day, but maybe this is normal?
Do you ever grease the grease tray to avoid rust?
Why does NOBODY show a complete clean NOT even Traeger!!!
So that’s where the probe is supposed to go!
Your drip tray liners are primarily being used upside down.. it would nice if the logo was displayed in the correct position or perhaps even a “this side ⬆️ “ instruction on the disposable aluminum liners?.. just a suggestion
how about cleaning the grill grate?!? Dont you clean it? I tried it today after 4x uses of my pro 575…. it was a big mess to clean it up. Remember: it is emaille , so dont rub to hard with metal brushes etc. i just used hot water, dish washing soap and my bare hands… what a mess 🙁
tips very welcome!
Except for the degreasing step, I do all of this every time I use my Traeger. It only takes a few minutes.
Damn it Traeger! For the money people spend on your BBQ you think you could put out a better effort than a one minute video….a little time and detailed wouldn't have killed ya.
Just ordered a Timberline 850. Can’t wait for it to get here.
I bought the new Timberline 1300, it was delivered November 25, 2019. Unfortunately it wasn’t working right, so we didn’t get to Traeger our Thanksgiving Turkey…. Since then, Nothing but issues! So frustrating! Now the local dealer where I bought it has had it for two weeks. They say it may be another week or two before the parts are in and fixed…. So I look forward to cleaning soon, but it’s been an unfortunate experience to say the least! Sad really! And 2019 Thanksgiving was ruined.
You didn’t take the auger out so you didn’t clean shit ol boy.
What Ash Vacuum do you guys recommend?
Can u use that traeger cleaner on the grates themselves as well?
The paint is peeling off both inside & out so de greasing not gonna work.Made in China, next pellet grill I purchase will be American made.Sorry Traeger.
I like seeing new traeger videos, but i really hope no one is stupid enough to need this video, they probably shouldn't own one if this really does come in handy
Love my Timberline! Fantastic smoked meats every time!
Sales are probably skyrocketing now.. due to Weber's SmokeFire Fail. Now people are going to stay with old faithful Treager for a along long time!
