How to cook a roast pork joint dinner with the vegetables in the halogen oven.

This tastes succulent and the juices all run into the vegetables making them extra tasty! This is a firm favourite in our household. It is not only cheaper but tastier than using a conventional oven. Jan shows you how.

  1. Bon appetite 😋 I just wanted times and temperatures really. Just getting round to cooking proper food in mine. I coat the skin in a mix – some I cut it off and cook crackling separately- but not good for my teeth I go softer. Thanks for the video. I use up what's left over by making butties and or a casserole with beans and veggies

  2. Interesting video and well presented. I bought one of those halogen cookers about a year ago, been in the back of the car ever since, not plucked up the courage to use it yet but think tomorrow is the day, will keep you informed, Cheers

  3. Hubby looks like Richard Dreyfus…….

I love pork crackling, this seemed crunchy and potatoes looked great.

I think Brits like their meat well done generally as I've watched variety of meats cooked in halogen by Brits with same results.

They do know how to put a baked meal together though.

  4. I just bought one of these ovens from a Facebook group items for sale list. Cost me a tenner, and it’s hardly been used the lady said. But I have just learned from you guys it should have an extender ring. Don’t know where I will get one of those from. Maybe I won’t use it.

  5. just brought a digital halogen oven and cant find anything on youtube its always the the one that has the knobs that gets shown how do l get them to show the digital oven please l believe they are both different please help me

  6. G'day, Bazza from Aussie. I am heading down a dangerous road, unchartered territory however I will give it a try cooking up a Leg of Lamb with all the trimmings in my George Foreman Turbo Oven. So looking for a few tips I noted you do not use the cooking grille that is placed in the bottom of the glass bowl. Is there a reason why? as others use it. Also, others roast their potatoes, etc in the turbo oven but you pre-cook then pop into the Turbo Oven, Is that just a personal choice or a better option. Thanks for your video, Cheers.

  7. I have just bought one of these, so looking for cooking tips etc as the manual isn't very clear! Love roast pork! One thing however – I never drain away my veggie juice, I either use it to make the gravy/stock, or just drink it from a mug, there and then!

  8. Love your videos and I am waiting for my Andrew James Halogen Oven to be delivered. More please, you are an excellent teacher and demonstrator. All of your tips are brilliant. Recently widowed I had stopped cooking, but have started to take interest again thanks to your videos.
