Done it with cast iron, carbon steel and over ripping hot lump charcoal.
All are good but I prefer the lump charcoal. Just better flavor IMO.
Similar to way I do it. Except I do 225F. So yummy.
Steak temperatures:
80 degrees-black and blue ๐คฉ
95 degrees-rare ๐
115 degrees-medium rare๐ค
130 degrees -medium๐ก
145 degrees -medium well ๐น
160 degrees -๐nuclear disaster-well done ๐คฎ
This is what we were taught in culinary school.
It takes 8 min to cook a steak somehow for a little less gray band you guys have talked yourselves into taking 80 min to cook a steak thatโs wild
