I like her, but I hate this Italian bullshit. Put It in the cold water and set the microwave to an amount of minutes you feel safe to stop and take a look if It rehydrating. If you hungry and that`s the only way to cook it, no problem at all. Even using the stove, you don`t have to bring the water to boil, but you will have less control of the time cooking.
