Interesting… It might be a good idea to cover the pasta with a fair bit of boiling water if cooking pasta is a matter of temperature.
Hi gorgeous thankyou for sharing iv learnt something new my son has a pizza shop and sells pasta will tell him too try but itโs very true what you have said even though you can do it the other way Italians very old school still will do the old way ๐ง funny love you baccione to you and beni๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐น๐ Sydney Australia
I am trying to make my mother understand the same, since in Argentina it is summer and it is 30 ยฐ C at 22hs.
๐๐THANK YOU
I am going to do this from now on! Fantastic tip for the world in this energy crisis. I'll bet it will work with compotes as well. I agree leaving for an extra 30 secs before the gas is turned off is possibly a good idea. I will need to ensure my lid has no holes to release steam though…
I've been cooking pasta this way for years. I learned about how the heat cooks the pasta and that the boiling actually cooks off the nutrients in the pasta.
Personally, I prefer the pasta's taste when not boiled.
What about the starch content in the water. Is it the same ?
If you soak the pasta first in cold water for 1-2 hours, depending on the type of the pasta; you can boil them for 2-3 minutes just like freshly made pasta. Less money to spend on energy. You can even microwave them
Im going to try this, wow!
ฤฐ will try It, thank you
To boil or not to boil. That is the question…
Wow! Unlike most YT videos I watch, I actually learned something that is useful. Thank you. Well presented, too.
