Slow-Smoked Baby Back Ribs (Gas Grill Method)
1: Skin the ribs by removing the membrane
2: Cover ribs in dry rub and rub it in
3: Let it sit for 4 hours or overnight in the fridge
4: Create Smoke Packet: Aluminum Foil – 1/2 Dry Smoking Chips & 1/2 Smoking Chips soaked in Apple Juice (Apple Chips Recommended)
5: IMPORTANT – Indirect cooking method – Turn on burner on side and place Smoke Packet on hot burner
6: Once smoking begins, add ribs over the OFF BURNER (No Heat Side)
7: Smoke the ribs for 3 hours
8: Place the ribs in aluminium foil meat side down
9: Add 1/2 cup of Apple Juice on top of the ribs
10: Close foil (careful not puncture the foil with the bones) and cook ribs meat side down for 2 more hours
11: Unwrap ribs; flexibility indicates they are nearly done
12: Place ribs back on grill and ladle your favorite BBQ sauce heavily
13: Cook ribs meat side up for 1 more hour
Total grill time: 6 hours
Total preparation time: 10 hours
6 hours on a gas grill seems a little much and rather daunting
very vague presenation! how to peel skin would have been good!
