Flat side is meant to face up as per Weber. Other side is pointed so grease drips off easily.
Hmm it's on sale right now over here for $700 Canadian. I'm thinking of getting it but the 335 Weber version is 900$. Tough decision but based on your review, I feel like this grill is what I need.
