Skip the lighter fluid and use Chef David Rose’s natural method for lighting your charcoal grill. Lighter fluid contains chemicals and additives which will affect and alter the glorious flavors of your Omaha Steaks proteins. Instead use all-natural charcoal starters or olive oil. To use olive oil to start a fire, soak charcoal with 1/3 cup of olive oil and saturate four to five paper towels with 1/3 cup of olive oil. Light paper towels and top with three to four coals. You’ll have a fire in no time.

I don't pour oil on the charcoal. I just pour old cooking oil on 2 sheets of paper towel and roll it. Hasn't failed me yet.

don't use oil and paper towels, you just waste good oil and paper towels,instead use a charcoal chimney and a small fire lighter natural or synthetic or you can soak a small piece of charcoal in kerosene or turpentine. in 25 to 30 minutes the firelighter and/or accelerant will burn off posing no risk.
Yeah, there aint no chemicals in those towels either… have you ever read how much chemicals they put in them to get em white? Mapp gas torch may not be much better?
