Don't thionk for one minute that you have a lifetime warranty on this equipment — I have been waiting for MONTHS on Kamado Joe to send me warranteed parts, and NOTHING to date. I have received broken items from them and they have never replaced them. This company is an e-commerce cash creating hype machine. There is NOTHING behind the warranty – not even a PHONE NUMBER. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY.
Help! It took me an hour to get my Joe Jr. lit (about half full of 100% maple charcoal) and after another hour with both vents 100% open it finally hit almost 250°F. It is useless. I am thinking or repurposing it as a planter. How do you get it to a cooking temp? I ended up cooking my burgers on a propane grill.
