Mmmmmm,🥛
wtf are they making in the back?

I cook a lot, but I never bake. Might make this for my partner's birthday. I don't have 3 cake pans – any problem baking the layers one at a time? I also don't have a turntable, but I'll manage!
I tried baking the cake and the rounds were thin. I watched the video many times, checked all the dates on my flour and baking powder, and used 8-inch rounds. I read a few articles online as to why my rounds were flat and then tried a second time. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. Could it be my oven temp is off? The rounds looked like they were rising, but fell a few minutes out of the oven. I don't have a stand mixer so I had to use a handheld and tried not to overbeat the batter. I really want to make the cake, but can not figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I made this cake and it turned out wonderful and tasted great! Well done Cooks country!
I wish they didn’t make you pay to see the recipes in the site.
Agreed, “straight up amazing!”
To make the cake batter, why didn't you weigh the ingredients rather than measure them?
Because the batter is not that sensitive.
Beautiful cake!
Omg that looks so yummy 😋

Theres a reflection of someone who looks to be applying chapstick on the left side 😀
Nice.Thanks 🧁
You both have the same costumer Jay Leno uses in his "Garage".
How do I get a Cook's Country apron?
Beautiful cake. THAT GOOD clip VDO.
I would love to know the brand of cake pans they use?
Please tell Christie Morrison, in my humble opinion, she is the most attractive test cook presenter on the show.
I just watched this episode on the Create Channel, March 25. In their description of the show it has this recipe, and a review of toasters with Adam and Bridget, and then Bryan Roof and Bridget make Gooey Butter Cake Bars. Of course, there is ONLY the jam cake recipe on this episode. I noticed this last year when I wanted to see the gooey cake recipe. Please ask Create to fix their description. Thanks. Love you guys.
I made this recipe and followed the directions. For some reason the layers came out very thin.
Like 1/2" thin. What did I do wrong?
Question: I only have 9 inch round cake pans. Do I attempt three layers or two thicker layers?
Wow this is such amazing and i like her last idea to make it colourful and i think its tasty. My mouth watering recipe.
That sounds delicious
Number one cak
That cake is so cool
Thank you for saying which rack to place them!!! That is a huge thing when following baking instructions so I appreciate that!
She reminds me of Natalie from Facts of Life.
Gawd.. 50,000 calories of decadence!
Beautiful cake & great toaster tips. RMH/Ohio
The cake is so beautiful…!! I love it !! 💜💜💜
Does the winning toaster let English Muffins get caught between the bottom and the side so you have to unplug it and tear it to pieces to get it out? Infuriating trait of too many toasters now a days.
Thanks for the recipe and also love the equipment test.
It would be a lot easier to use ice cream scoops to measure out the frosting, rather than a measuring cup and spatula.
That finished cake looks amazing! I found myself wishing it was the color of the bottom layer of frosting because I love purple stuff, if I can call that purple lol, but since blueberries were the coloring agent I imagine it makes a fun, evolving eating dynamic. 🤔
I'm probably too late to make preserves with local fruits this year, but I'm excited for next year's haul after watching this. 😁
I hope I remember this for later. Thank you!

Question is… Can I cheat with store made jam? Not the cheap stuff… I have some nice blueberry jam. Just want to know if I can do that.
Christie is wonderful! beautiful cake. i would like to have seen a demonstration of moving the cake from turntable to serving dish. Do you just put the whole turntable in the refrigerator? That's impractical because I chose the cast iron model :(. I might also have to re-arrange a shelf.
