  1. Ugh had trouble getting mine crispy. I had to use Yukon and my sheet pan recommended not exceeding 450 degrees so I set it on convection. I got some nice browning but they were not crispy at all. Either I steamed them too long, the wedges aren't thick enough, they need 475 or it has to be russets. I'll try again. Open to any tips!

  2. interesting~ but it's a known FACT that vegetable oil is bad for human consumption! Leading nutritionists/doctors in the know have been screaming at us about that for decades now so switch to healthier pure virgin olive oil! Or coconut oil! knowledge is power, self-empowerment!!

  3. Outstanding!!! However I gotta confess, I used bags of frozen fries, both crinkle cut, and steak fries. (reason being, I shamefully NEVER! learned how to use that type of potato peeler, the few times I tried, I've cut myself everytime, if I use a knife, I waste too much of the potatoe) still I followed your process to the T, and everyone was impressed. Also, I only have 3 cookie sheets of different sizes, I prefer the foil. I am a reuser of foil, I carefully wash and dry the foil, for later. Shhhh, don't tell my family about any of this!!!

  4. Julia how do I make frying pan fried potatoes? I'm cutting some small fingerling potatoes into thin slices, I will probably use some oil and salt and pepper as you said in this one but I don't know how long it takes for raw potatoes to cook.

  5. This did not work for me AT ALL. I feel that I followed the recipe but for a smaller qty on a smaller sheet pan. My potatoes were well cooked but not at all brown or crispy. Still I enjoyed them. Not sure what the problem was.

  6. There's a way more easier way to do this. Just boil the potatoes in water till they're almost going to fall apart. Then move them to a baking tray and sprinkly oil over them. Broil them for 5 mins. Toss. Broil another 5 mins. Done. No need for any aluminum foil. No need for so much oil.
