How to Make Crispy Sweet Potato Fritters with Feta & Herbs | America’s Test Kitchen
Today, Christie Morrison and Julia Collin Davison share tips to making savory sweet potato fritters. The trick to making crispy fitters is steaming the sweet potato slices in a small amount of salted water to lock in natural sweetness before mashing them into a craggy, textured base. Combined with crumbled feta, ground cumin, and fresh dill, scallions, and cilantro, these pan-fried fritters deliver crispy browned edges with a tender, flavor-packed center. Serve them warm with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a dollop of sour cream for the ultimate side dish or snack.

They look good, even if they aren't great for you. Sweet potatoes are packed with nutrients, though peeling and frying them leaves a lot of that health value behind.
What about using the air fryer instead of frying in a pan?
Man that lady is not good advertising.
They look nice! Sweet potato is one of the best vegetables for pregnant women to eat.
I'd rather use those ingredients with a regular potato because my mom used to make fried potato patties and I have tried to make them myself, but for some reason, obviously she either left something out of her recipe or I wasn't paying attention well enough because I never turn out the way hers did.
The only way I eat sweet potatoes with marshmallows, brown sugar, cinnamon and a little butter.
Just a hint, friends, it is easy to cook the sweet potatoes in the microwave. Let them cool a few minutes, slit each open, and spoon out into a bowl. Much easier way and if needed, you can add a bit of moisture to give the consistency you want.
looks good but way to much work foe me
Those fritters look delicious! Thank you for showing us how to make them! ❤
I have never eaten a 'sweet potato fritter'.
Gotta give it a try…
She had me until she added dill
Before trying this recipe my life was a disaster. My marriage was struggling, my credit score was questionable, and my golf swing looked like a wounded flamingo attempting to escape a washing machine. But everything changed when I cooked this beautiful dish. The moment of my first bite, I felt an overwhelming surge of confidence. My posture improved. My eyesight sharpened. My cholesterol dropped. Somewhere in the distance, a baby cried. This recipe has improved my golf game, strengthened my relationships with marine wildlife, and forced me to reconsider everything I thought I knew about gravity. Since using this recipe, I have lowered my handicap by 38 strokes.
I like sweet potato fries
Love seeing Julia this morning.
