  2. I always thought I couldn't cut good economic bread slices myself until I changed to a good bread knife which was also triangular in shape, not straight. Of course it took me some knife-skill practice, but a good bread knife makes all the difference.

  3. Just baked this. Delicate and flavorful (only used 1/2 cup sugar, sweet enough for me). If you think you missed the part where they mentioned baking soda or baking powder, you didn’t. This cake is “crumbly” without needing leavener.
